Networking Events in July
I have been so fortunate to attend networking events in July , meeting great people in various settings and generally having fun. Haven’t I got a great life?
There was the Christmas in July event, Central Coast Safety Group breakfast meeting – both of which I have written about.
I also went to hear the Norton Rose Fulbright presentation “Critical issues- Keeping up with the Regulators”
There were some interesting facts that came out of the presentation of which we all need to be aware:
- There are now 15 recklessness or industrial manslaughter based proceeding in Qld, ACRT NSW and SA .
- Prosecutions where there is a fatality or serious injury are now brought against not only the corporate entity, but also against multiple senior managers and workers in large companies
- Formal or aggressive enforcement action is occurring such as raiding premises under a warrant after proceedings have commenced
Thank you Norton Rose Fulbright for your interesting presentation.
