Rehabilitation Case Managers
We have 4-6 roles for Rehabilitation Case Managers in the Sutherland, Blacktown and Chatswood areas.
We require Return to Work consultants from varying backgrounds including physiotherapists, exercises physiologist, rehabilitation councillors and/or psychologists.
The positions are largely autonomous. The case manager has the ability to plan their
week independently, with only minor compulsory requirement.
Main Functions:-
The role of the Rehabilitation Case Manager is to undertake the management and
administration of a caseload of Occupational Rehabilitation clients, including
performing initial assessments and rehabilitation planning, with the purpose of
returning the client to appropriate employment.
Rehabilitation Case Managers – Different Employer Service are assisting with the
redeployment of injured workers who are unable to return to their pre injury duties or
identify alternate suitable employment for same empoyers or for different employers
Rehabilitation Case Managers will be required to liaise with all relevant parties
including the employer, injured workers, medical professionals and insurers to
facilitate an effective return to work and to ensure the achievement of commercial
objectives of key stakeholders and the organisation are met.
The key responsibility include:-
Provide Case Management Services and this may include same employer and different employer services
Provide one-off assessments (Vocational Assessment)
Provide job seeking assistance;
Identify work trials and monitor their performance;
Development of contact database of potential host employers;
Compliance with WorkCover NSW accreditation standards for Return to Work
Coordinators and Occupational Rehabilitation Case Managers
Essential Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Science
Minimum of 12 months experiences in Occupational Rehabilitation
Accredited by WorkCover NSW to conduct Vocational Assessment AND Case Management
Experience in conducting Workplace Assessments
Drivers licence and reliable vehicle
Desirable Requirements
Experience in placement of people with disabilities/injuries
Experience with WorkCover NSW Work Trial ProgramRequired Skills / Knowledge:-
Knowledge of Workers Compensation and Injury Management Legislation
Ability to manage large loads of files and clients
Excellent negotiation skills
Superior customer service skills
Ability to work unsupervised
